‘Dreamgirls tickets on sale now’

Tickets are on sale now for the Mahogany Ensemble Theatre youth production of the hit Broadway musical Dreamgirls. This production will be presented at the East Bank Theatre on August 13, 14, 15, 2009 at 7:30 pm and August 15, 2009 at 3:00 pm at the Bossier Arts Council, 630 Barksdale Blvd., Bossier City, LA.

Dreamgirls, a legendary Broadway musical, by Ted Eyen and Henry Krieger is the rags-to-riches story following the lives of Effie White, Deena Jones, and Lorrell Robinson--the "Dreamettes", a hopeful singing trio from Chicago who experience the ups and downs of show business on the path to making their dreams come true. Director, Angelique Feaster has assembled a multi-talented cast of youth and adult performers in this lively production. This production will feature youth performers from the Camp ASPIRE summer arts program presented by Mahogany Ensemble Theatre in partnership with Bossier Arts Council and sponsored by Citizen’s National Bank.
